富恩特斯创作中篇小说《奥拉》的意图并非呈现纯粹的神奇与梦幻意境,而是揭示虚幻面具掩饰下的现实。《奥拉》利用独特的第二人称单数叙述,成就了叙述主体和隐含作者的不确定性,从而构筑起多个潜藏文本。潜文本从不同的视角,引导读者体验激情、彷徨、焦虑、恐惧等人类基本情感;文本中巧妙嵌入的超现实元素富含象征性表达,折射出作者对身份和历史等现实问题的思考,传递出作者对个人与集体揭开面具、正视自我、构建自我身份的期许之情。而在构建"被异化"的女性身份的同时,作者也回归过去探究女性身份脆弱性的历史与社会根源。
With the creation of Aura, Fuentes reveals a hidden reality under a feigned mask, besides showing pure wonders and fictional scenes. The work, from its original narrative perspective of the second singular person, conquers an uncertainty of both the subject narrator and the implied author; and generates several subtexts, which, from different angles, invite readers to experience human emotions as the passion, the anxiety and the incertitude. The surreal elements beautifully embedded in the text have a pronounced symbolism, which projects the writer's vision about identities and history and, therefore, conveys the hope that the masks ported by both the individual and the collective be tom away so that they can face themselves and build a real identity. As a female I, Fuentes returns to the past in order to investigate its fragility related to the historical and social roots. Meanwhile, he creates the female profiles that disconnect the tradition.
