The contents of main parts of test methods and indexes required in fire retardant standards and toxic gas standards for rail vehicles in advanced countries and China are compared,the advantages and shortcomings of each standard are analyzed,so that important referential basis is provided for setting up fire protection standars for rail vehicles in China.
