Objectives To explore a new suitable teaching model for graduate students and part-time adult students in dermatovenerology clinical practice through simulating the application of outpatient teaching model in the teaching process of them. Methods Each of 40 students were chosen from the grade 2011 part—time adult education undergraduate internships and grade 2012 standardized training graduate students of the Sichuan Medical University. They were randomly divided into observation group and control group. The observation group adopted the simulated outpatient teaching model, and the control group used the traditional teaching mode. The teaching effect was assessed by theory tests and questionnaire surveys. The shortcoming of the teaching mode was analyzed according to the students' feedback. Results The scores of observation group(94.68 ± 2.69) were higher than which of control group(88.42 ± 4.84),the satisfaction rate of observation group(100.00%) was higher than which of control group(75.00%).To compare the score and satisfaction rate of two group,P〈0.05,the difference was statistically significant. Conclusions The simulated outpatient teaching mode could improve the students' interests in class, give play to their subjective initiative and enthusiasm,as well as cultivate the students' clinical thinking ability, which was a new mode suitable for the theoretical teaching of dermatovenerology.
