摘要
本研究在涌现论的框架内考察学习者重复二语读写任务时在语块使用方面的变化。52名在校大学生连续三周时间内三次重复同一二语读写任务。通过对比三次写作中的语块使用,研究发现,练习频次显著提高了学习者语块使用的密度、准确性和多样性。随着重复次数的增加,语块使用的数量、质量和种类不断提高,语块在语言使用中涌现。不同水平的学习者语块使用情况也显示出不同的变化特征。本研究结果验证了涌现论关于语言基于使用的涌现论观点,同时对于语块教学也有借鉴意义。
This study employs an emergentist approach to investigate the changes in the use of formulaic sequences in a repetitive L2 readingto-write task.During three consecutive weeks,fifty-two participants repeated the same reading-to-write task three times.By comparing the use of formulaic sequences in the writing products,the study found that task frequency significantly improved the density,accuracy and variance of the formulaic sequences.More accurate and complex formulaic sequences emerged with the increase of task frequency.In addition,L2 proficiency was proved to affect the use of formulaic sequences during task repetition.The results show that language ability emerges on the basis of recurring usage and give some implications on how to teach formulaic sequences.
