盖斯凯尔社会小说中的多维度社会伦理观

本论文试图以盖斯凯尔的社会小说为研究对象,以维多利亚社会的工业化背景为进路,以康德道义论为核心,以利他主义、福音主义、基督教社会主义和唯一神教思想为意识维度,探讨盖斯凯尔对处于转型期的英国社会的道德伦理思考。本文从小说家的道德伦理观形成、内涵以及文学表征等方面入手,探寻小说背后的社会现实,揭示工业化进程中价值观的变迁,建构理想的道德伦理观。本文指出,盖斯凯尔用小说的方式进行道德伦理建构,其建构的目标是以反功利论为基础,以倡道义论为核心,以利他主义、福音主义、基督教社会主义和唯一神教思想为意识维度的现代资产阶级多维度道德伦理观。

This article aims to present Gaskell＇s moral and ethical concern with the transformational British society with the focus on Gaskell＇s social novels. The article discusses the industrialization of the Victorian society through the ideological dimensions of Kant＇s Theory of Deontology, Altruism, Evangelicalism, Christian Socialism and Unitarianism. By analyzing the origins, connotations and interpretations of Gaskell＇s moral and ethical view, the article attempts to probe into the disguised social reality, reveal the changes and transition of values, and construct the ideal moral and ethical view. The article concludes that by means of novel writing Gaskell fulfills the construction of her ideal moral and ethical view, which is marked as a modern bourgeois multi-dimensional one based on Theory of Deontology and anti-Utilitarianism.
