摘要 形与意在英语写作教学中不可偏废。大学生英语写作存在内容贫乏的问题,主要是教学中重视语言形式而忽视思想内容这一倾向造成的,可以采用形意结合的教学方法加以解决。大学英语写作课一般按照词、句、段、文章的框架一步步进行,本文通过教学实例探讨在基础阶段的教学中,即词、句阶段,如何遵循形意结合的原则设计练习,使学生的语言运用能力和思想表达能力共同提高。 Language and ideas are inseparable in the teaching and learning of writing in English. The problem of weak and empty ideas in English writing is mainly due to the teaching practice which concentrates on the training of language and structure, but ignores creating and exploring ideas. This problem, however, can be dealt with by instruction integrating language and structure with ideas. Generally, the English writing class follows the steps from words, sentences, to paragraphs and essays, and this paper will discuss how to design tasks with the principle of integrating language and structure with ideas at the basic levels of words and sentences to help students improve both their language use and idea cultivation.
