It is valuable that Mo Yan＇s fictions break though the old forbidden area and try new ways which bring astonishing experiences. The return of Mo Yan is not only the call for collective unconsciousness, but also the root-seeking of national tradition. As a meaningful form, Mo Yan provides inter-subjective and polyphonic interpretation of the text. The narrative perspectives of Mo Yan’s novels have changed from a single to a pluralistic one, showing harmonious but different daily life scenes. With the diversification trend of novel development today, it is in fact the art strategy of the daily life of national history that Mo Yan re-examines the relationship between the story and the novel. Mo Yan＇s significance is largely based on his counteraction and surpassing of the 50s and 70s literature. His characters or matters are turned into icons aesthetically, and the history is just as a background. Mo gives us a vivid daily life and country- world. Relying on daily life, Mo enters into era and society to look directly at struggle, fighting, choice and reflection.
