PLA's Anti-corruption Campaign in the Early Days of New China

新中国成立初期,中国共产党针对执政初期即出现的贪腐问题雷厉风行地行动起来,高压打击、从严惩处,防止腐蚀、清理肌体,有效遏制住了党内军内腐败现象发展蔓延的苗头。梳理新中国成立初期人民解放军出现的贪腐问题及进行的反腐败斗争可见,中共以霹雳手段惩治贪腐取得了明显成效,适宜军队的反腐道路探索仍任重而道远。

In the early days of the People＇s Republic of China,the Communist Party of China（ CPC） took vigorous and resolute actions aiming at the burgeoning corruption and degeneration at the initial stage of its ruling period. They cracked down on corruption and corrosion,and exercised severe punishment and various cleanups,thereby effectively curbing the early signs and symptoms of corruption spreading both in CPC and in People＇s Liberation Army（ PLA）. Reviwing the problems of corruption occurring in the early period of the New China and retrospecting the subsequent effective anti-corruption work,we can see that the CPC used a heavy hand and had remarkable achievements in combating corruption in the military at the time.The PLA today,however,still has a long way to go in exploring the suitable means of fighting against corruption.
