American Academia's Research on Sino-Soviet Armed Conflicts over Zhenbao Island

冷战时期,美国学术界对中苏珍宝岛武装冲突的起因、过程、性质和影响均作了一定的研究。而冷战结束后,随着新资料的不断挖掘,美国学术界对这些问题则作了更全面更深入的研究,学者们除坚持冷战时期的一些看法以外,还提出一些新观点,或作了一些新分析,从而使得后冷战时期美国学术界在中苏珍宝岛武装冲突的研究方面取得一些新进展。美国学术界的这些探讨对当今中国学者进一步研究这一课题具有一定的参考价值。

During the Cold War,US academic circles conducted some research on the causes,the process,the nature and the impacts of the Sino-Soviet armed clashes over Zhenbao Island. Since the end of the Cold War,American academia have carried out more in-depth and comprehensive research on those aspects as new materials are being found. They continue to hold their opinions formed during the Cold War; besides,they have advanced some new ideas and made some new analyses. Therefore,US academic circles,in this post-cold war era,have made some new progress in the study of the Sino-Soviet armed clashes concerning Zhenbao Island,and their discussion can expect to provide some reference for Chinese scholars today in making further research on this topic.
