Objective To investigate the value of simultaneous ambulatory blood pressure and electrocardiography monitoring in hypertensive patients with asymptomatic myocardial ischemia (SMI). Methods A total of 50 hypertensive patients who were admitted to our hospital from January 2014 to June 2016 were enrolled, and according to the presence or absence of left ventricular hypertrophy, the patients were divided into observation group (with left ventricular hypertrophy) and control group (without left ventricular hypertrophy). The patients in both groups were given simultaneous ambulatory blood pressure and electrocardiography monitoring, and the monitoring results were compared between the two groups. Results The observation group had a significantly higher incidence rate of SMI than the control group (66.70% vs 25.00%, P〈O.05). There were no significant differences in diurnal systolic pressure and diastolic pressure between the two groups (P〉0.05), but the observation group had a significantly higher diurnal heart rate than the control group, and the patients with SMI also had a significantly higher diurnal heart rate than those without SMI (P〈0.05). Conclusion Simultaneous ambulatory blood pressure and electrocardiography monitoring has a significant value in hypertensive patients with SMI and can effectively monitor the change in heart rate and improve the detection rate of patients with SMI.
