美国国会图书馆馆藏《新安女行录》以文体归类,不仅详细地记载了徽州节烈女性抚孤、守节等彝伦懿行的生活侧面,反映了地域伦理秩序与宗族的建构,也折射出时代的风云遽变及文化思潮,具有相当的史学价值与文化意义。此书作者程云鹏善文,吴宽对其文脉详加圈点批注,这也是进一步研究史传文学传统在徽郡传衍的重要依据。

Records of Xin＇an Female Behaviors in the Library of Congress of the United States was written by CHENG Yun-peng in the Qing Dynasty. This book classified according to different styles not only detailed the Huizhou women＇s facets of life featured by bringing up orphans and preserving chastity after the death of husbands, reflecting the construction of the regional ethical order and the clan and the abrupt changes and cultural thoughts in that era, hence its historical and cultural significance. CHENG Yun-peng,the writer,excelled at writing and WU Kuan annotated the context in detail, offering an important basis to study the tradition of biography literature in Huizhou region.
