An Examination on Relationships of Multiple-intelligence and Creativity of High School Students: An empirical research

摘要 本研究对杭州地区20所高中的4503名学生的多元智能发展情况与创造力开发情况进行分析,多元回归结果显示八项智能都与创造力开发显著相关,按显著程度依次为视觉-空间智能、自省智能、音乐-节奏智能、逻辑-数理智能、身体-运动智能、自然观察智能、人际交往智能和语言智能。此外,多元智能平衡情况与创造力开发之间呈正二次方关系,即多元智能发展极端越不平衡或极端平衡都更利于创造力开发。基于上述结论,本文对未来教学改革提出了相关建议。 This study explores the relationship of multiple-intelligence and creativity of 4503 students in 20 high schools of Hangzhou. The multiple regression results show that all eight intelli- gences significantly correlate with creativity. According to the significant level, they are visual/spatial, intrapersonal, musical, logical/mathematical, bodily/kinesthetic, naturalistic, interpersonal, and ver-bal/linguistic intelligence. In addition, the balance of multiple-intelligence development shows a quad- ratic relationship with creativity, which means, both extreme imbalance or extreme balance of multiple- intelligence development help to improve creativity level. Finally, some important implications for educational reform are raised based on the preceding findings.
