中国共产党生生不息的文化基因,是内在于党的科学理论、崇高理想、光荣传统、党性原则和党的纪律与规矩之中的"党魂",是在近代以来中国社会大变革的实践中和对优秀传统文化批判继承的基础上,一代又一代的中国共产党人奋斗、创造凝练而成的传家宝。我们必须坚持把马克思列宁主义同中国实际相结合作为党的理论和实践的基本原则,在推进"结合"中丰富、发展马克思主义。领悟、维护党的文化基因,揭露、批判某些人抹黑、诬蔑党的文化品格的错误倾向,对于坚定文化自信、发展中国特色社会主义,具有重要和深远意义。

The continuously thriving cultural gene of the CPC is the spirit of the Party that exists in the Party's scientific theory,grand ideal,glorious tradition,party principle,and party discipline. It is also the hereditary treasure that generations of the Chinese Communists have created on the basis of their practice through the great social changes of the Chinese society and their critical inheritance of the outstanding traditional culture.We must adhere to the basic principle of the Party's theory and practice,i. e.,to apply Marxism under China's social conditions,and enrich and develop Marxism through such application. We must understand and defend the Party's cultural gene,while exposing and critiquing the tendency of demonizing and slandering the Party's cultural character. It is of great and far-reaching significance for increasing our cultural confidence and developing socialism with Chinese characteristics.
