According to the practical experience of digital address database of Chenzhou place name,this paper summarizes the place name classification requirements and methods,together with the main features.We introduce the technical process of the construction of the place name address database,design different scales and levels in the items of name attribute,which helps to extract different place names conviently,and explore the technical method of constructing digital city name address database.
