非正式学术共同体对知识传播的影响研究——以国际图书情报领域为例

Effect of Informal Academic Community for Knowledge Diffusion——A Case Study of International Library and Information Science

[目的/意义]揭示图书情报学研究中非正式学术共同体对知识传播的作用过程,探测这一领域中知识传播的结构特征及其发展趋势,为相关研究者提供辅助参考。[方法/过程]以Web of Science收录的1996-2016年7月的图书情报领域12本核心期刊的文献为数据分析对象,基于作者共被引分析方法,利用CiteSpaceⅢ软件工具,对图书情报学中的非正式学术共同体、研究主题、学科领域等的演化过程进行计量和可视化分析,并且绘制了图书情报学领域的知识传播速度曲线。[结果/结论]1996年以来,图书情报学领域中非正式学术共同体及其研究主题日益向多元化发展。新的知识主题或学科的融入导致新的非正式学术共同体的形成,非正式学术共同体中代表人物和具有交叉性知识背景的学者的变迁最易促进知识的流动。通过知识传播速度曲线可以预测,替代计量学知识传播速度日益加快,已经成为图书情报学领域研究的热点主题之一。

[Purpose/Significance]This paper aims to reveal the function of informal academic community on the knowledge diffusion process, detect the structural characteristics and development trends of knowledge diffusion in the international library and information sci- ence research, and provide reference for related researchers. [ Method/Process] This paper analyzes the evolution process of informal aca- demic community, research topics and discipline domain using author co-citation analysis by information visualization software CiteSpace, based on the data which were published in 12 core journals of international library and information science included in Web of Science from 1996 to July 2016. [ Result/Conclusion] Since 1996, the informal academic community and its research topics in the field of international library and information science have been increasingly diversified. The incorporation of new knowledge or disciplines leads to the formation of new informal academic communities, while the change in the informal academic community and the scholars with cross-knowledge backgrounds is most likely to facilitate knowledge diffusion. It can be predicted that altermetrics will be spread faster and faster and become one of the hot research topics of international library and information science through knowledge diffusion curve.
