苏中地区联抗部队作为中国共产党领导的一支统一战线武装,是新四军与国民党军队合作抗日的桥梁。新四军为了继续争取李明扬和陈泰运等国民党地方实力派一起抗战,并孤立和打击反共的韩德勤顽固势力,在江苏泰县曲塘镇成立了联抗部队。联抗部队遵循中共的统一战线的策略,在新四军的直接指挥下,发展进步势力,争取中间势力,孤立顽固势力,有效地促成了苏中地区各种政治势力共同抗日。

As a force of united front led by CPC, the joint anti-Japanese forces in middle Jiangsu are the basis for the cooperation between New Fourth Army and Kuomingtang force in the anti-Japanese war. New Fourth Army established joint anti-Japanese forces in Qutang Town of Taixian City, so as to unify the local forces of Kuomingtang led by Li Ming-yang and Chen Tai-yun and isolate and attack Han De-qin, who adopted anti-communist measures. The joint anti- Japanese forces are guided by CPC and directly commanded by New Fourth Army, and made great contributions to the unification of various political forces in middle Jiangsu.
