Socialist political economy with Chinese characteristics is the important theoretical achievement of the contemporary Chinese Marxism. Resulting from the CPC＇s practices based on China＇s national conditions since reform and opening up, this great contribution to the Marxist theory of economy reveals the new characteristics and rules of our economic development. There are five principles of socialist political economy with Chinese characteristics, specifically, centering on the masses; liberating and developing productive forces; giving public ownership a dominant role and pursuing common prosperity; implementing the reform of socialist market economy; and carrying out the policy of opening up. Furthermore, the spirit and inner logic of the socialist political economy with Chinese characteristics to explore the economic law and development path for China can be seen from such aspects as the standpoint of research, the characteristics of the system and the path of development.
