论辛亥革命时期湖北军政府对军队的整治

After the founding of the military governments of independent provinces, the first problem they encountered was the expansion of the number of the army, giving rise to such problems as reimbursement of needs, public security and unrest, etc. After the Wuchang uprising, tar- geted at the rebellious recruits, low level of military officers, weak combat effectiveness in the army, the Hu-bei military government took the lead in the consolidation of the army and governance, and took measures such as military and civilian partition, and running the army by virtue of law, thus achieving significant effects. At the same time, a variety of new problems arose in the renovation of the army by the Hubei mili-tary government. All this demonstrates that the new government was faced with the seriousness of the issue.
