摘要
《科学》月刊是中国翻译史上最早译介西方先进科学文化、影响力最大的代表性杂志之一。但由于主客观因素制约,该期刊及译者在中国翻译史上一直处于"隐身"状态。本文从该刊刊文的翻译概况、读者群体及翻译策略、译论及译名方面的贡献探究其翻译史,旨在使之走出"隐身"状态。
As the earliest and one of the most influential journals to introduce western science and cuhure into China, Science, as well as its translators, has been kept ＂invisible＂ in the Chinese translation history for various reasons. The article gives an overview of the translations published in this journal, the target readers, the translation strategies, and the contributions to translation theories and translated terminologies. It is hoped that such an effort will make the journal more visible.
