模因论视域下的汉英网络新词语探析

A Study on Chinese vs Engnglish Cyber New Words from thelish Memetic Perspective

网络新词语客观地映照了社会的诸多热点,一些网络新词又因其新颖、简洁、诙谐幽默或寓意深刻而经历了时间的沉淀成为强势模因,在语言社会中生根发芽。语义的泛化、词性的变化、词缀化、非常规的构词等都是汉语和英语网络新词语共同的特点。

Cyber new words reflect objectively a variety of hot issues in our society, some of which have be- come strong memes as time goes by for their novelty, simplicity, wittiness, humor, or profound denotations, root- ing and sprouting in the social language. The semantic generalization, the change of the part of speech, afflxation and suffixation, and abnormal construction of words are all shared characteristics of both Chinese and English cy- ber new words.
