Sticking to Local Spirit and Deepening in Literary Aesthetics:Interview with Professor He Zhongming,Doctoral Tutor at School of Liberal Arts,Jinan University

"乡土文学"是中国现当代文学的一个重要创作类型,对于它的历史、现状,特别是未来发展前景存在着一定争议。贺仲明教授在这次访谈中,全面详细地阐释了"乡土文学"概念的内涵与外延,探讨了乡土文学在中国现代的发展和演变历史。并论述了乡土文学的独特美学价值,以及乡土文学与乡村伦理,与地域性和民族性,与文学本土化、文学生活研究之间的复杂关系,还阐述了对乡土文学未来发展的看法,特别阐释了"乡土精神"的内涵及其在未来乡土文学发展中的价值和意义。

＂Local literature＂ is an important type of creation in Chinese modern and contemporary literature. But there are still some controversies about its history, present situation and its future pro- spective development. In this interview, Professor He Zhongming comprehensively interprets the con- notation and denotation of the concept of ＂Local Literature＂, and probes into the development of local literature in modern Chinese history. And he discusses the unique aesthetic value of local literature, the complicated relation between local literature and village ethics, locality and nationality, the locali- zation of literature and life study of literature. And he looks into the future development of local litera- ture from the perspective of the development, particularly illustrates the connotation of ＂Local Spirit＂ and its value and significance in the future development of local literature.
