Research Status of Stem Cells in the Treatment of Ischemic Stroke

缺血性脑卒中为常见的脑血管病类型,具有高发和易复发的特点,给家庭和社会带来沉重的负担。临床上现有的治疗措施对许多患者还未取得理想的效果。近年来随着干细胞研究的迅速发展,干细胞治疗被认为是神经功能缺损患者的一个潜在有效的策略。

Ischemic stroke is the most common form of cerebrovascular disease,which is characterized by high incidence and recurrence,and brings heavy burden to the family and society. The current clinical treatment for many ischemic stroke patients has not yet achieved the desired results. With the rapid development in recent years in stem cell research,stem cell therapy is considered to be a potential effective therapy for patients with neurologic deficits.
