摘要
北京大学是一所以文理教学和研究为主的综合性全国重点大学，是国家首批“211工程”建设的高校。北京大学创办于1898年7月，前身为京师大学堂，是第一所国立综合性大学，既是当时中国的最高学府，也是中国最高的教育行政机关。
