晚清民初期刊与近代西方潮汐理论的传播

Journals published in the late Qing Dynasty and communication of the western tidal theory

通过文献调研,对晚清民初(1833—1918)17种期刊所刊载的关于近代西方潮汐理论进行系统研究。认为:自《六合丛谈》到《格致汇编》间隔20年。但是,近代西方潮汐理论关于潮汐成因却发生了变化,直至《科学》,关于潮汐学研究在这一过程中不断在深入与完善,并出现新内容。这对于探究当时期刊对于近代科学的认识,传播科学新知及其影响极为重要。

Systematic study about western tidal theory published in 16 kinds of journals in late Qing Dynasty（1833-1918） was carried out by means of literature investigating. The results show that the tidal theory has changed during the early 20 years from Shanghai Serial to Gezhi Huibian,and has developed continuously until Science,accompanied by some new discoveries. The process is important to understand the role of journals in recognition of modern science and communication of new scientific knowledge and its influence power.
