“归化”“异化”在西方语境中的嬗变

Evolution of Domestication and Foreignization in the Western Context

韦努蒂关于"归化""异化"的思想源自施莱尔马赫,并吸收了贝尔曼的翻译伦理思想。"归化""异化"这对术语在西方语境中经历了从被视为翻译方法或翻译策略到被视为翻译伦理的过程。二者的关系也从一开始被认为是完全对立的,到后来被认为二者没有绝对的分界线,并在一定程度上是重叠的。厘清韦努蒂关于"归化"和"异化"思想的转变,有助于了解这对关键术语在西方语境中的嬗变过程。

Venuti＇s theories about domestication and foreignization originated from Schleiermacher and borrowed ideas from Berman＇s translation ethics. This pair of terms changed from being viewed as translation methods （or strategies） to becoming translation ethics. And their relation was regarded diametrically opposite at the beginning and then it was viewed that there were no borderlines between them and to some extent, they were overlapped as well. It is intended to explore the changing of this pair of terms by analyzing the changes of Venuti＇s views about domestication and foreignization.
