The Cooperative Combat Capability （CEC） system is one of the earliest network-centric systems in the US Navy that integrates sensors and weapon systems. The system which has been successfully integrated in other services’ air defense systems, lays the foundation for a single common air picture system and the use of weapons within a jointarchitecture. This article will briefly describe the key CEC key technologies and their characteristics.
