Urbanization and the Collectivization of Agriculture Would Promote Mutually

在当前的中国,城市化与农业集体化这两项工作完全可以成为一个相互促进、互为补充、并行不悖的过程。就推进城市化这项工作而言,应摒弃对"大城市病"的过度担忧,以地级以上城市为城市化的重点。建设"城镇"并不科学,只能导致重复建设,"城市化"才是应当追求的目标。

In China, urbanization and collectivization of agriculture could be a paralleling process of mutual promotion and complement. To promote the urbanization, over-worry about ＂big city disease＂ should be abandoned and should focus efforts on the process of urbanization of the above prefecture-level cities. It is not scientific to focus on the construction of towns, which can only lead to duplication of construction instead, ＂urbanization＂ is the goal which should be pursued.
