基于COCA语料库的近义词辨析——以choose和select为例

Synonym Discrimination Based on COCA——taking an example of choose and select

语料库为近义词的辨析赋予了较传统方法上用词典释义所不可比拟的优势:容量大、语料真实、检索快捷。基于COCA对choose和select在词频、搭配词和语义韵三个方面进行检索比较,为传统的近义词对比研究提供了新思路和新途径。

Compared with traditional methods that discriminates synonyms by dictionaries, copora are endowed with some incomparable advantages： its high capacity, the authentic resource and the rapid retrieval. The research on the synonym-choose and select, based on COCA, that we deal with the three aspects including word frequency, collocation and semantic prosody, provides a new idea and new approach for the synonym discrimination.
