摘要
As the main successor of the former Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, Serbia since 2000 has made transformational adjustments in politics, economics and diplomacy, aiming to make friends with members and nonmembers of the EU and overcome the troubles that resulted from being isolated by the west.
With the need to rebuild infrastructure and its political system,Serbia has to complete two transitions, achieving progress domestically and gaining recognition from the European Union.Even though the long and winding road of transition may have looked like a dead end,the problems could more accurately be described as deadlock, and post-transition Serbia could have a relatively bright future.
