摘要
自清朝晚期以来,中国一直处于文化劣势。受其影响,在汉译英时,中国翻译界也长期追求译文向译入语和译入语文化接近。然而,该种翻译实践不利于中国文化向外推介。通过理论研究和问卷调查,提出语义翻译是增强民族文化自信的主要中医翻译策略,可有效传播中医文化和中国文化,有利于提高中国文化软实力。
China has been in the state of inferior culture since the late stage of the Qing Dynasty. Under this influence, the Chinese English translation has been in pursuit of the closeness to the target language and the target language culture for a long time. This practice is not beneficial to the dissemination of Chinese culture. The paper via theoretical researches and questionnaires puts forth that semantic translation is the chief TCM translation strategy of enhancing national cultural self confidence. The strategy may effectively disseminate TCM culture, Chinese Culture and promote the Chinese national cultural soft power.
