Piano music Somewhere far away is revised from the folk song Somewhere far away by Chinese composer Zhang Zhao. Rooted from the spirit of time and nation, the piano version took the folk song as the original prototype and successfully combined Chinese national music, singing compatibility of piano music and performance skills, which qualifies it as the masterpiece of Chinese piano music. The paper approaches from the analysis of its musical structure, rhythm, texture, concord so as to probe into the nationalization feature of this piece. It＇s hoped that this paper would be beneficial to the further learning of the Chinese traditional music and the better performance of this piano song.
