吴楚作为新安医学温补学派的代表人物之一,善于运用补中益气法治疗各种疑难杂症,常益气与温阳合方,补脾与温肾同用,形成自己独特的温补之法。从《吴氏医验录》中了解到吴氏临证运用补中益气法具有:中焦不足,法当健脾补中,多用甘温培补之味;气虚发热,遵以益气温阳,慎用解表祛风之品;虚实夹杂,补养脾胃,擅于消补兼施;温经散寒,渗湿攻积,多法寒温并治等辨治特色。
