This study adopted a number of employees from different enterprises as subjects, to ex-plore the influence of Machiavellianism and power on unethical behavior in workplace context via two experiments. Study 1 measured the real power of the subjects while study 2 manipulated power through role power priming, to examine the acceptance degree of unethical behavior among employees on the basis of measuring the level of Machiavellianism. Our study demonstrated that individuals with higher Machiavellian tendency showed a higher degree of acceptance on unethical behavior. In addition, the study also found that higher power status made individuals with high Machiavellian tendency more like-ly to accept unethical behavior. On the other hand, the influence of power status on the attitudes to-wards unethical behavior was not significant among subjects with low tendency of Machiavellian.
