Mophological Structure and Mechanical Properties of SSBR Vulcanizates Filled with Organically Modified Montmorillonite

摘要 采用熔融共混方法制备了3种有机蒙脱土(OMMT)/溶液聚合丁苯橡胶(SSBR)复合材料,研究了其结构形态和力学性能。结果表明:低含量的OMMT可提高硫化胶强度,当OMMT添加量为7 phr时,拉伸强度达最大值;双十八烷基二甲基氯化铵改性蒙脱土(DK4)可显著提高硫化胶断裂伸长率,而十八烷基胺(DK1N)、硬脂基二羟基乙基甲基氯化铵插改性蒙脱土(DK2)填充导致断裂伸长率降低。在硫化过程中,熔融共混法制备的剥离混炼胶中蒙脱土片层重新聚集,形成部分插层型结构。 Solution-polymerized styrene butadiene rubber (SSBR) filled with different kinds of organic montmorillonites (OMMT) nanocomposites were prepared by melt intercalation approach. The structure and properties of these nanocomposites were analyzed and studied systemically using transmission electron microscopy (TEM). TEM images revealed that the fillers were well dispersed while at content below 7 phr SSBR/DK4 showed the most excellent intercalation effect. The interaction between SSBR and DK4 were stronger than that of the others'. The changes of mechanical properties of SSBR vulcanizates filled with with different kinds showed the similar trend. The tensile strength of the vulcanizates could be improved by incorporation of low OMMT contents,and the best reinforcement effect appeared at 7 phr OMMT.
