Practice and Reflection on Service to Special Groups of Readers Offered by Public Libraries——A case study of the library of Chongming District,Shanghai

公共图书馆在完善传统服务模式的基础上,为特殊读者群提供服务,以满足他们看书学习的需求。对特殊读者群的定义、种类和特点作了概述,介绍了国外对特殊读者群的服务方式,总结分析了上海市崇明区图书馆为读者群服务的探索实践并针对不足提出相关改善建议。

This paper focuses on service to special groups of readers offered by public libraries for meeting their needs of reading books on the basis of improving traditional service model. The definition, varieties and features of the special groups of readers have been analyzed. The experience of service methods in this field adopted by foreign countries has been used for reference. And summarizes and analyzes the exploration practice of special readership in the library of Chongming District, aiming at the shortages,it puts forward the shortages, it puts forward the relevant suggestions for improving the service.
