Study on ALA's Policy and Report of Libraries' 3D Printing Service

美国图书馆协会2014-2016年间围绕图书馆开展3D打印服务陆续发布了三份政策报告,包括3D打印及公共政策介绍、图书馆视角下的3D打印政策思索、图书馆3D打印服务实用建议报告。3份报告介绍3D打印在图书馆的发展前景、法律问题,呼吁图书馆建立3D打印政策,降低政策和法律风险,并提供图书馆发展3D打印服务的实践指南。

From 2014 to 2016, ALA has published three reports related to libraries＇ 3D printing service, which in- clude：an introduction to 3D printing and public policy, 3D printing policy considerations through the library lens and librarians＇ solution to practical 3D printing questions. These reports introduce the prospect and legal problems of libraries＇ 3D printing service, advocate that library should formulate institutional policies to reduce risks of policy and law, provide libraries with service guidelines on 3D printing service.
