Since he took the position as General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, Xi Jinping has up- held and developed the thoughts on strengthening political life building of the central leadership advocated by the classic writers of Marxism and Leninism. On the basis of his judgments that there are salient problems as well as a- chievements in this aspect, he has put forth a series of new ideas and measures, which is unprecedented in the Par- ty＇ s history, in terms of the numerous expositions on it, the high requirements for it, the detailed provisions on it, the strict penalties for the violations, and the great achievements made in it.
