摘要
在诺曼征服时期,英格兰的本土圣徒遭到了诺曼人修道院长的质疑,以娄勒斯、埃德蒙德主教为代表的学者最先把这一现象看作是征服者与被征服者之间民族文化的冲突。利雅得等学者研究了圣徒与修道院之间相互依赖的关系,以及诺曼征服之后岛上宗教日历变动情况,认为当时本土圣徒遭受的质疑没有明显的民族歧视色彩。从公元11-12世纪欧洲经院哲学发展,理性思想萌芽的时代背景来看,这种质疑行为实则是基督教学者在理性思维的驱动下对身份模糊的旧时代圣徒提出的合理怀疑。
During the time of Norman conquest, the Anglo-Saxon saints in the island have been questioned by the new Norman abbots.Scholars like David.Knowles, Bishop Edmund have seen this phenomenon as the reflection of culture conflicts between conquerors and the conquered. However, based on the research of the interdependent relationship between saints and monastery, and the changes of religious calendar after Norman conquest, scholars such as S.J.Ridyard have noted thai, the doubts raised by Norman abbot are by no means ethnic discrimination. Indeed, from the background of emergence of scholastic rational thoughts in 11, 12thcentury, this kind of doubt is the reasonable doubt raised by Christian scholars who, driven by rational thoughts think the traditional saints with vague status is doubtful .
