Based on the detailed exposition of petroleum analysis methods at home and abroad, the application scope, the advantages and disadvantages and the comparability of different methods are analyzed in depth. The common problems of these analysis methods are discussed. It is pointed out that the developing trend of petroleum analysis is quantitative analysis according to toxicity of petroleum material.
