主导性自由主义及其启示

Dominant liberalism and Its Enlightenment

斯蒂芬·莫斯度[1]是普林斯顿大学政治哲学教授。他的政治哲学思想主要体现在对主导性自由主义的建构上,他提倡自由主义不仅仅是一种中立的制度建制,同时更是一种转化人们内心信念的力量。他认为自由主义可以通过三种方式塑造整个社会:公共理性、法律施压和公民教育。他的自由主义理念所提倡的主动塑造行为导向和改造人们心灵的方式值得借鉴。我国正在加快建设社会主义文化强国,一方面需要完善中国特色社会主义文化制度,另一方面更需要对人民内心的塑造。探讨莫斯度诠释主导性自由主义作用的研究径路,发掘其自由主义理论供给,对当代中国社会主义文化建设具有重要启示。

Stephen Macedo is a professor of political philosophy at Princeton University. His political philosophy is mainly embod- ied in the construction of the dominant liberal, and he advocates liberalism is not only a kind of neutral system establishment, but also a kind of transformation of people＇s inner strength. He thinks that liberalism can shape the society as a whole through three ways： public rational and legal pressure and citizen education. His liberalism idea shows shaping behavior orientation and transforming the way of people＇ s heart which is worth using for reference. Nowadays, we are speeding up the construction of socialist culture. On the one hand, it is necessary to improve the system of socialist culture with Chinese characteristics. On the other hand, it is crucial to shape people＇s heart. This paper discusses Stephen Macedo research paths of leading liberal function, and exploring its liberal theory supply, which shows important enlightenment to contemporary Chinese socialist cultural construction.
