LU Jianzeng and Ya Yu Tang Series of Books

清代德州大儒卢见曾,贯通经史,主盟东南文坛十余年,一时称为海内宗匠。卢见曾一生积极从事刻书活动,先后校刊、刻印古籍30余种,统称"雅雨堂版藏书"。其校勘之精细,刻印之精美,堪称我国古籍中的珍本、善本,至今在出版界、收藏界享有盛誉。雅雨堂版藏书多为当时几近失传的孤本,以"汉、唐诸儒说经之书"为著录主体,以表彰汉学经书为宗旨,对经典著述的研究、整理与保存以及乾嘉汉学的发展,起到了重要的推动作用。

LU Jianzeng was a scholar who combines profundity with virtue in Qing Dynasty. He threw himself into the printed books activity, he had printed a large number of ancient books in a lifetime. The books he had printed were called Ya Yu Tang Series of Books. Not only did he authenticate and emendate the edition of the ancient books he had collected in various methods, but also combined the emendation as a assistant way with the edition closely so that the Series of Books were more scientific and accurate. Ya Yu Tang Series of Books turned into scriptures finally.
