境由心生:三写王守仁的体会

Circumstance from Mind: Writing about the Understandings on Wang Shouren for Three Times

王守仁一生功业主要在江西建立,其思想学术的传播以江西学者占主要地位。在三种不同的环境与写作动机下做出了不一样的解读。他在闽赣粤剿灭山寨农民武装,以建县治、行乡约善后,为南赣巡抚树立了施政榜样。从破山中贼和平定宁王叛乱经历中,他深感"破心中贼难",必须"知行合一",告诫人们把道德意识与道德行为统一起来,在行为实践中兑现仁义忠信。王守仁的这些理论见解有普遍性的认识价值,在今天新时代社会条件下,依然要坚持理论与实践统一,杜绝言与行相悖的恶习。

Wang Shouren made his achievements mainly in Jiangxi and mostly Jiangxi scholars spread his theory. Different under-standings are given on different conditions and writing motives. He set up examples for governance in Jiangxi, Fujian and Guangdong by wiping out the bandits in the mountain villages and establishing counties and towns. He felt difficult to wipe out the bandits in the heart and told people to combine practice with knowledge, combine moral understanding with moral doings and to practice the royalty and honesty. Wang＇s theory has universal cognitive values today. In the new times, we have to keep the habit of combining theory with practice and give up the habit of saying one thing but doing another.
