Newcity Growing Together with Youth Olympic Games——Planning Practice of Youth Olympic Axis

青奥村地区和青奥轴线的建设是河西新城乃至南京城市发展的重要片区,兼具城市交通功能、景观轴线功能、城市生活功能,三者同等重要。它是青奥赛事期间众所瞩目的世界焦点,会后将转型成为连接河西中部及南部地区的新城市综合体及核心区,其周边将配套建设医院、社区中心、学校等公共设施,并将最终建成河西新城的标志性建筑群。规划实践的主要任务是提出符合青奥精神和时代发展的规划理念,创造具有城市特色和高品质的城市空间。

Youth Olympic Village Area and Youth Olympic Axis are considered as an essential area in urban development of Hexi New Town even entire Nanjing City, equally functioned in three aspects of urban transportation, landscape and city life. This area attracted whole worlds attention on while Youth Olympic period, thereafter became a new urban complex and core urban zone connected central and south Hexi.Hospital, community center, school and other public facilities are distributed at surrounding area, and eventually to be built-up to a landmark area of Hexi. The main planning and application purpose is to put forward a planning concept in line with Youth Olympic spirit, creating an urban space with its unique characteristics and high quality.
