联合专利分类(CPC)是由欧美专利局提出并大力推广的分类体系,CPC分类体系具有细分程度高、分类角度多的特点,符合当今科技发展的趋势。本文介绍了CPC分类体系的特点,并结合建筑给排水领域专利检索的实例,对CPC分类的应用特点进行剖析。从检索应用的角度,体现了CPC分类对提高专利检索效率的重要性和价值度。

Cooperative Patent Classification（CPC）,is initiated as a joint partnership by the EPO and the USPTO. As a new member of the patent classification, CPC has the characteristics of more subgroups and multi-classification, according with the development trend of science and technology. The paper introduces the application of CPC in patent search in water supply and sewerage territory. From the perspective of patent search, CPC classification improves the efficiency of search and provides more useful information.
