On the Practices and Considerations for “the Innovation of Modern Version of Historical Records”

《史记》文本研究了几千年,需要深入和出新。要对历代研究进行汇集梳理、考辨分析,解决疑难问题。要拓开眼界,拓宽思维,开拓新内容,提出新见解。要完善繁体文本,规范简体文本,创新现代文本。在进行现代梳理中,要运用现代思维审视《史记》、现代语言改造《史记》、现代方法解读《史记》。这是时代发展提出的新要求,是运用司马迁改造古文精神进行研究的新尝试,也是将其研究引向深入的新举措,是开拓、创新之举。其内容,就是开展文字、段落、标点的系统研究以及内容的校正整理。其目的,就是形成规范的《史记》标点横排简体文本和通俗的《现代史记》研究文本、阅读文本、精华文本,以及开展《史记》文字、段落、标点、内容的专题研究,完善繁体文本。

Although with research of Historical Records for several thousand years, it still needs making new advance in depth. Firstly,the previous research should be surveyed and sorted with the discriminative analysis to resolve some puzzling questions; secondly, the research horizon should be widened with the new angles to pioneer new content and new ideas; in addition, the ancient version text should be perfected so as to normalize new simplified version with the recreation of modern text. Particularly, in modern texting and sorting,we should reexamine Historical Records with modern vision, rewrite it with modern language, and even reinterpret it with modern method,which is a challenging demand in new times and new attempt learning from the Sima Qian who represented the ancient spirit dynamically. Specifically,the details of Historical Records, like punctuations, words and paragraphs should be rendered a systematic studying and reediting with the aims of normalization of horizontal words and punctuation text pattern and the formation of the text for the modern Historical Records with popular readings with monographic study, like research text, reading text, and essence text of Historical Records to perfect complex texts.
