Review of the Research on Original Title Description

文章就原文题名在CNMARC格式著录中出现的主要做法和观点进行了综合述评,指出了其中的不足和优点,并通过综合研究提出了更为合理的处理建议。主要包括:原文题名可以作为并列题名且只有位于规定信息源上者才是并列题名;原文题名应优先使用454字段编目,但需保证在同一数据库中有被连接的外文原著记录;如果没有被连接记录,则应选取与原文题名所在位置相匹配的5--字段提供检索点。

The paper reviews the description methods and views of the original title in CNMARC description,points out its merits and weaknesses and puts forward reasonable suggestions through comprehensive study.The suggestions are as follows: original title can be parallel title which can only be labeled at the point of prescribed information sources; original title should use 454 field to catalog in priority but there must be connected foreign description record in the same database; if there is no record of being connected,one should choose 5--field which matches original title location to retrieve.
