The movie, Dressmaker is made based on a best - selling novel of Rosalie Ham, Australian women writer. Heroine was sent out of the town young when wronged killing a boy. When she grew up and became a tailor, she returned home to seek the truth. After three times failures of redemption, after seeing through the town of evil, hypocrisy and fickle, Heroine was on the path of revenge. The movie is not just about the revenge, the director and the original author are female, who depict the patriarchal char- acters and all tbe female characters in the shade of patriarchy more deeply from the perspective of women.
