Cultural Diversity and Community of Common Destiny:Thoughts on China as “the Third Pole Culture”

世界历史的演进显示,从大规模的"硬碰撞"到长时间的"软抵触",从文明的冲突到文化的融合,这应该是人类构建命运共同体的基本发展趋势。在这一艰难的探索过程中,尊重和促进世界文化多样性,正如保护地理环境和生物多样性一样,成为全世界人民和政府的共识。在世界文化多样性和不平衡性中寻找人类理想的发展出路,中国文化作为"第三极文化"也许可以承担起更多的责任。

The basic development trend with which humans construct the community of common destination, as showed in the evolution of the world history, changed from the macro ＂hard collision＂ to the long time ＂soft resistance＂ and from the conflict of civilization to the fusion of culture. During this difficult exploration process, the respect and promotion of the world cultural diversity have been recognized by the people and the governments around the world, which is the same as protection of geographical environment and biological di- versity. Chinese culture, as the third pole culture, can shoulder more responsibility in exploring the ideal path between world cultural diversity and the unequilibrium.
