摘要 伴随我国体育事业的发展,"体育英语"概念使用范围由语言学扩展到文化和课程语境,其内涵更加丰富。在语言学语境下专门用于体育环境的一种语言变体,在文化语境下,体育英语不仅仅是语言的使用,更表现为内容与形式的关系,二者互为依存,又互为限定,既可以解读为以英语为媒介的体育信息,也可以理解为承载体育内容的英语语言。这种二元逻辑在课程语境下体现为大学英语课程体系中的ESP类的体育英语课程和英语专业中CBI性质的体育专业英语,前者强调英语语言学习,后者重视体育学科理论知识的理解、掌握和运用。厘清体育英语丰富的概念内涵,可为体育院校英语专业优化课程结构提供依据。 Along with the development of sports cause in China, the use of the concept "sports English" has expanded from linguistics to the contexts of culture and curriculum. Its connotation is richer. Culturally, sports English is more related to the relationship between content and form. It can be interpreted into either sports information conveyed by the media of English or the English that carries the content of sports. This binary logic is em- bodied by the courses of ESP and of CBI. The former stresses the study of the language and the latter focuses on the study and application of the knowledge of sports subject. The clarification of the connotation of sports English in different contexts is of significance for the English major in sports colleges and universities to optimize their curriculum.
