宋词典故英译分析——以辛弃疾的《永遇乐·京口北固亭怀古》为例

Analysis on the English Translation of Allusions in Ci Poems of Song Dynasty: A Case Study on Xin Qiji's "To the Tune of Joy of Eternal Union"

古代诗词写作中经常会用到一些典故。诗词翻译本来就难,诗词中典故的翻译更是难上加难。宋词典故中具有深厚的文化和历史底蕴,在翻译时需要注意其文化的传达。本文拟对辛弃疾的《永遇乐·京口北固亭怀古》中的典故英译进行对比分析,探究典故英译的翻译策略,尽可能地避免文化的缺失。

Allusions are often used in ancient poems and ci po- ems. The poetry translation is difficult, but allusions make it more difficult. Allusions in ci poems of Song Dynasty possess profound cultural and historical accumulations, so cultural expression should be noticed in the translation of them. Based on a comparative analysis on the English translations of allusions in Xin Qiji＇s ＂To the Tune of Joy of Eternal Union＂, this paper intends to explore the English translation strategies of allusions, trying to avoid cultural absence.
